Happy Birthday Broc!

This week was my son Broc's birthday. This image is about 9 months old, but thought I would share it anyhow. I plan to redo the 3 boys sessions soon, but we are waiting for it to warm up a tad.

My Triplets

It's been awhile since I have posted my own girls on here, so thought I would share these! They were doing Ring Around the Rosie, and then decided on practicing their princess waves, rather than let mommy "photograph" them... now I need to work on some of the boys! Enjoy~

Pumpkin Patch...

I love taking my family to Pumpkin Patches... It is our yearly tradition, and with us being newer here, we were not sure where to go. I happened to find this place one day on the way to a photo shoot... so that is where we decided to take our kids! 2008 Galloping Grace Youth Ranch Pumpkin Patch.... Very nice, very friendly and such cute decor. My 6 kids ended up having a great time, you should check it out for yourselves if you get a chance!

One of My Triplet Girls

Most of my clients know, but just in case...
I have Identical Triplets... Which is the background to this story. :)
I love this shot of my daughter! Taken on the 4th of July at our little local parade here in town. I was sitting on the ground, looked up and thought oh what a great shot of her that would be!
The problem? I normally do their hair up so I can see their earrings, or they wear different hair barrets so in portraits, I can tell them apart. This particular morning however, I was running late, and just put red bows in all 3 girls hair! The Outcome? I have no idea who this is! I think it's Aspen, but my boys think it's Payton. All 3 girls think it is of each one of them.
Oh well, I am thinking of just running it off, and putting it in all 3 girls books... Is that being a bad mom?? :)

Happy 4th of July!

Happy 4th of July... from my family to yours!
Jody, Kevin, Dave, Broc, Heath, Aspen, Payton and Trinity Cooper

I hope this finds all my clients, friends and family enjoying this holiday with your loved ones! I try not to post too many personal images on here, as that is not what it was intended for :) However, hopefully every once in awhile it is ok, so you know other aspects of me than just photographer :) I thought I would share this collage we posted on our family blog, over here as well! Mind you these were not taken for professional use, just for fun! I hope you enjoy them at any rate. Have a great Holiday Weekend.... It will be back to Session posting tomorrow!

The Love of Football...

My Husband, My Kids and I are all huge sports fans! So my husband and the boys go to Arena Football games quite a bit, but this time the girls and I went as well. The Wyoming Cavaliers (my home state yeah!) beat The New Mexico Wildcats 66-32! I wish I would have been able to capture more shots (personal, family ones of course I got tons) but I was able to grab these 3! I love this helmet one! After the game you go down to the field to meet the players, but that photographer instinct in me took over, and was on the look out for shots rather than meeting players....

Heath....

Today is my youngest son Heath's 8th Birthday! Of all my children, I think he is the easiest to work with! He is so easy going, and willing to do all sorts of stuff! I love to work with all my kids, but Heath makes his one on one sessions so much fun!

5 minutes to spare...

What is a photographer to do when they have 5 minutes to spare and girls who are dressed so pretty? We do a Mini Session of course! My husband is getting used to this quality in me, but still makes fun of me when I last minute turn church going into a session! The Triplets were thrilled with their new braclets and love to have thier toes painted! Needless to say they were Princess' today in every sense of the word! And let me capture some great shots!

Heath's 8 year Session...

Well finally I got to my son Heath! He is so photogenic! And loves for me to work with him! This makes my job alot easier :) I love him in brown... and with his whole camoflauge theme, it really brings out his personality... He felt this was very rock star!

Aspen, Payton, Trinity

What began as me simply wanting to take a few shots of Aspen's eye (little fender bender) turned into "Mommy, It's my turn!" Well they never volunteer to let me photograph them, so I jumped at the opportunity to do so! I love how girly they are even in football jersey's!

Dave's 14 year Session...

Dave can be a challenge to photograph sometimes but he likes these, and they have grown on me. Even thou he is not doing the typical "poses" or smiling in one, He is such a handsome kid! Also, he looks so grown in them! He likes the geometrics of him standing by all the browns! Very New Mexico style by the way...2 down, 4 to go!

Broc's 11 year Session...

I love to hang 8x10's of each child in my house, which means once a year we do an offical age photo. For the first time, I am doing them myself. Broc is very hard to photograph because he is going through that age where he doesn't want to smile! I am pleased with the turn out of these, and I love him in Blue! He is my only blue eyed child.

The Outtakes...

I loved these outtakes, and thought ok I should share these! I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Dave...

My oldest son David, turned 14 today! I love to photograph him because he can be a challenge. He is a person who needs to do his own thing, but once he relaxes you can get great shots of him!

You know when I say...

..."relax, I understand"...I really do! I have Six kids of my own. My bribery rarely works. For me, it's called Photographer's Child Syndrome and we discuss it and support each other on the online community of photographers that I belong to-HA!
Everyone thinks I take pictures of my kids all the time. Wrong...for 2 main reasons...first,...I'm just too busy, and second, they won't let me!

So when I say that if you stay in the background or let us go off on our own that the kids will cooperate, it's true because I'm not THEIR mom. No kids want to listen to their mom, but they will cooperate for another adult!Anyway-I have a 30x40 canvas print that I'm dying to order for my house. This really wasn't what I had in mind. So much for this being the Christmas card I was sending to all of you this year!!
*parts of this posting were from a fellow photographers blog! Thank You!

"Tough Boys" *Editor Choice Award 2007

These "Tough Boys" are actually my 3 sons. Dave, Broc and Heath. I took this shot on accident trying to get a different shot from the ground, literally! I am flattered that it has earned such awards!

The Triplets!

*Better photo of the day 2007

Aspen, Payton and Trinity are my Identical triplets (1 in 200 million shot), and to be honest the most challenging of all my clients! They are adorable when I can get all three of them together!
